How it is calculated

Candles from 1-minute aggregates (5 and 15 minutes are built from them), all sessions from 04:00 to 20:00 ET unless the pre- and after-market are switched off; the candle under way is built live from the stock tape’s per-second aggregates over its websocket; the pre- and after-market are shaded, the volume bars underneath use the same bars, the dashed line is the previous close. Times are New York.

How it is calculated

For every expiry up to 70 days out, the best deep in-the-money Call and Put as marked in the chain: how far in the money, what is paid above the underlying at the ask, that overpay as a year’s rate on the strike (at the ask; the mid next to it), the leverage, and the quote. A dotted underline marks a quote wider than 10% of its ask. Loaded once when the page opens; the selected expiry stays live.

in the money strike nearest the price best deep in the money: the strike nearest the price that moves like the shares (delta ≥ 0.95); a deeper one only when it costs at least a quarter less above the price and keeps 85% of the leverage
How it is calculated

Every listed strike of the selected expiry. Quotes, open interest, IV and delta come from the vendor snapshot, refreshed every 5 seconds over REST (every minute while the market is closed); between the snapshots, the contracts the live options tape streams take their quotes, last trades and volume from its websocket (their bid and ask are underlined in green). The volume counts only today’s session, and a last price from an earlier session is greyed with its date on hover. Over price: for an in-the-money Call the strike plus the ask minus the underlying (for a Put the ask minus the strike plus the underlying) — what is paid above holding the shares; the leverage is the underlying over the ask, greyed where the option does not yet move like the shares. The delta and IV of an in-the-money option are read from its out-of-the-money twin at the same strike; when the twin has none, the vendor’s own value is shown and marked with an asterisk. While the options market is open, each quote is measured against the underlying’s price at the moment the quote was received; while it is closed, at the minute it was last quoted. Strikes marked adj. belong to adjusted contracts and are left out of the best choice.
