Pogosov for iPhone — support

Pogosov shows US stock market stories scored by importance, sends notifications only about what matters, and has a messenger with voice and video calls between your contacts. Questions, ideas, bug reports and reports of abuse are welcome.

Do I need an account?

Not for the news and notifications: the feed opens on first launch, as a guest. The messenger and calls need you to sign in — with Apple or with your e-mail and a password; registration by e-mail is confirmed with a code from a letter.

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen tap “Forgot password?”: a code comes to your e-mail, then set a new password. Every device where you were signed in is signed out.

How do notifications work?

Pick a level in Profile → Notifications: Top only (9+, less than one story a day), Important (8+, about a dozen) or All notable (7+). You can also choose categories, quiet hours and an hourly limit. Up to 50 companies in My companies get their own alerts.

Who can write to me or call me?

Only your contacts. People find you by your exact nickname and send a request, which may carry a short first message; you become contacts when you accept it, and until then they cannot write more or call. You can remove a contact or block a person at any time — a blocked person cannot find you, write or call.

How do I report abuse?

Report the person or the message in the app: the report with a copy of the message goes to our moderator, who can disable the account. Or write to us: help@pogosov.com.

How do calls work?

Voice and video calls go between two phones, encrypted, and we do not record them; a video call always goes through our relay server, which can neither see nor hear it. The app needs access to the microphone, and to the camera to show you in a video call; if you do not allow the camera, voice calls still work. The camera switches off when the app goes to the background and stays off until you switch it on again. If a call does not connect, check the internet connection on both phones.

Where do the scores come from?

An automatic model scores every story from 0 to 10 for its expected effect on the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100. The scores can be wrong. Pogosov is not investment advice.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Profile → Delete account (for a guest: Delete my data) — it is deleted at once, with your messages, also at your contacts. Questions: help@pogosov.com. What we keep and for how long is in the privacy policy.
